A luxury cruise ship is coming in to port in Yokohama! Climb aboard the NIPPON MARU for a Pokémon Trainer Cruise with special decorations. Pokémon Trainers from all over the world are waiting to meet you, so bring your Nintendo Switch™ or Pokémon Trading Card Game deck to enjoy some casual battles and trade!

  • * The ship will remain docked during the event. No sailing will take place.
  • * For the duration of this event, the accommodation and meal service normally provided on the NIPPON MARU will be unavailable. Additionally, there are no restaurants, cafes, or other facilities that sell food and drink on the ship.
  • * First come, first served basis on the day of the event.

Shipboard Overview

Pokémon Video Game Area

Pokémon Trainers can connect and play Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet with one another via their Nintendo Switch™ consoles in this area! The area will be divided into sections where players can battle, trade, and even help each other out in Tera Raid Battles.

Pokémon Trading Card Game area

Players can enjoy challenging each other to Pokémon Trading Card Game battles here!

Take some photos to commemorate your trip on the Pokémon Trainer Cruise! Spaces decorated with Pokémon-themed artwork are abound on board. Feel free to take a break between battles and explore the ship!

The NIPPON MARU (GT: 22,472 tons, LOA: 166.6 meters/546.6 feet), a cruise liner operated by MOL Group offers cruises varying in length, ports of call, and theme. These cruises range from short, round-Japan jaunts to lengthier overseas trips.   • ②On the day of the event, please display your QR code at reception.

  • * Admissions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • * Pre-registration does not guarantee that you will be able to board the ship.
  • * Separate reception is available exclusively for competitors participating in the 2023 Pokémon World Championships. Please bring your competitor pass with you. You may board with up to two additional guests in your party.

  • * If you wish to participate in Pokémon battles or trades, please be sure to bring your own with you.
  • * Exchanges involving money for games or Pokémon Trading Card Game products is prohibited.
  • * Large luggage may not be allowed to be brought into the venue. Please deposit your luggage ahead of your visit.
  • * Please inform us in advance if you may need special consideration or attention.
  • * Persons with helper dogs for the physically disabled must be accompanied by a caregiver.
  • * Electric wheelchairs cannot be used on board.
  • * We plan to arrange for English speaking staff for this event.
  • * No promo cards will be distributed.
